Absolutely great ride in a unique setting. José was a world class guide. He knows the trails inside out. He smartly managed the difference in riding experience among the four of us making sure that the more experienced folks were not pulled back, while the less experienced ones were not pushed too hard. The ebikes (MTB) were top notch (save for some small technical glitches in the derailleur towards the end of the ride that were dealt with very resourcefully by Jose). The environment was just awesome with a nice mix between breathtaking open views and thick woods. Good job from Joao (also WERIDE team) in explaining and coordinating everything in the few days before the ride. That was important for me as it was my first time in Portugal, in Lisbon/Sintra and first interaction with WERIDE
“Can't recommend these guys enough. Our guide was Duarte and he was very knowledgeable, funny and kind. He picked us up from Lisbon and shuttled us to Sintra where WE met other fellow riders and the day began. Unfortunately it was a rainy day but Duarte knew what kind of trails WE rideable and made the experience real fun. When it all finished because we were all wet and it was cold outside Duarte dropped us in front of our apartments. Really really kind! Unlike the other touring companies you will find online this guys use a solid percentage of what you are paying to maintain the trails. 100% will go back when next in Portugal. Cheers guys”

“Spent a week with the WERIDE guys mountain biking in the Algarve (near Loulé and Monchique) and Sintra. Great team of guides, these guys know the trails and are good teachers. They gave a short overview of the trail before we barrelled down and pointed out the hazards / difficult spots before we were in the thick of it. Algarve was warm, dry trails, great views and fun riding with Luis Pedro, a cool guy! Sintra - if you want rain - go to Sintra in November. The rain added some interesting dimensions to the riding: soft ground, pretty good grip, some skidding sections, some shredding - and the best part - we got WET and DIRTY! Thanks to João Mourão and team for the pleasure. On this trip I personally learned a lot about downhill mountain biking and I credit the WERIDE guys for getting me onto another level. “WE rode in Sintra Park with José and WE enjoyed the day a lot. The park was 30-minute drive away from the city and he showed us beautiful places and views. The trails were easy, and matched my amateur level. The e-bikes were completely new and very good. WE had lunch at a local restaurant for bikers, which had an offer of tasty dishes with fresh products from the local market. José was a great person and guide to spend a day riding in the mountains. WE would repeat if WE went to Lisbon again!”

“2nd time visiting WERIDE and Portugal for some amazing enduro riding for a couple of days. I have visited a few different spots in Europe and this is absolutely top notch. Trails are fantastic and you find a lot of different features riding them. Jumps in all sizes, beautiful and challenging rock and boulder sections and good berms-rhythm in the deep woods as well as open fast and easy sections that takes you from top of the mountain down to the beach for a well deserved beer. Rental bikes are in really good condition and guides are social easygoing professionals that will make you a better driver at the end of the day. Yes, I will probably be back for more :) “

Sintra offers trails for every level of riding mostly Enduro but very fun technical sections with a few drops and gaps along the way. I would highly recommend using WERIDE, as these guys know the mountain very well and will take you guessing out of riding a new place!”

“Amazing trails and some real adrenalin stuff! Breathtaking scenery in the North: massive granite boulders and buildings/homes made of granite, as well as beautiful forest; in Sintra: fast flowing forest tracks, mostly in lush, shaded forest of the national park, but finishing on a great, rocky down run to the beach. Guides in the North and Sintra were both excellent -- know the trails well and superb, skilled downhill bikers. Stopped for a lovely lunch every day, always in a picturesque place with something special about it and the food!”
